Adalee's First Weekend at Grandma and Grandpa's

My mom and dad had been begging to have Adalee come spend a weekend with them in Manhattan. Literally begging. For months. Finally an opportunity arose this past weekend. I had bought tickets to a show for Michael for Christmas, and when I asked my Mom if she wanted to come up to Kansas City to watch Adalee for the night, she said "nope...I'm just going to bring her to Manhattan for the weekend instead." And that was that.

I was a little nervous - borderline anxious - as the weekend approached. The most time Adalee had spent away from both Michael and I was one night, and this was going to be three nights away, Thursday morning through Sunday afternoon. But ultimately I had nothing to worry about. She was a little fussy the first night, but otherwise, she did absolutely wonderful with my parents. My mom kept her nice and busy - from working in the office, to playing with toys, to riding around on the kubota doing yard work! They had a great weekend, and Michael and I were able to enjoy a nice weekend at home together - we even got our Christmas decorations down before the end of January - bonus! :)

Here are a few photos Mom sent me from the weekend - I asked for more, but she thought I was being too demanding... :)

Spent part of Thursday morning at work with Mommy
until Grandma picked her up in Lawrence! Got to meet
all of Mommy's coworkers for the first time! :)

Loved riding on the Kubota!

Cleaning out all of Grandma's cabinets -
just a little reorganizing!
