March and April Randoms

The months of March and April just flew by - I can't believe how fast the spring is moving along. Here are some random photos and videos from the past month...

Adalee does not play in her jumper anymore,
but we have left it out because she still likes
to hit the buttons and play the music - plus
new baby is coming, so why put it away!
But the other day she was adamant about
getting in her jumper - that lasted a whole
5 minutes...

Reading books is still "the thing" to do in
our house...I can't believe how much this
little lady loves to read. We probably read
at least 10 or so books every night before
bed. She is going to be a bookworm
like her Mama! :)

Adalee has recently started crossing her feet when she sits
on chairs/steps. She loves to observe and mimic others
so I am thinking that she saw this somewhere...She looks like
such a proper young lady when she does it - makes me
laugh every time!

Still taking great naps and still loves her thumb...

Very interested in all things technology -
especially computers, iPads, and iPhones.
She recognizes the sound the phone makes
when someone is calling on FaceTime
and she gets SO excited to see who it is!

Parents night out with some friends for a
Royals game - these are needed every once
in a while!

Adalee is wearing her hair in ponytails more and more.
I am convinced that one day I will be able to put her hair
up as well as the teachers at school do!

Still a great eater! Loving pizza in this picture!

Making muffins for breakfast with Mommy!

We know Adalee is super tired when she
starts falling asleep while eating lunch.
She has attempted sleep eating a few times
now, and it is just the cutest thing...

Spending time on the golf course

Reading books at the lake house

Loving the slides!

Too cool for school...

Visit to Minnesota and Daddy-Daughter Weekend

This past weekend, I made a quick trip to Minnesota to visit my friend Allison. Allison is in her residency program in Minneapolis - i.e. she is extremely busy! But she had a free weekend, so Alyssa and I planned a weekend getaway! We had so much fun exploring the city - and mostly eating lots and lots of really good (and cheesy) food!

The best hamburger on earth - Jucy Lucy!

Amazing pizza! I ate the whole thing!

Red Velvet Pancakes with Peanut Butter
and Cream Cheese Icing...um...YUM!

Friends!!

While I was gone, Michael and Adalee spent the weekend hanging out with friends and family - and I am so glad that he takes so many pictures for me while I am gone!

Daddy...READ NOW!

Feeling like such a big girl sitting in a
big chair!

Hanging with her buddy Mia!

More book reading... :)

Grocery shopping on Saturday mornings
with Daddy!

Helping to carry in the groceries

Helping to put away the groceries...while
cooling off... :)

Helping with the laundry - you can tell
she is a BIG helper! :)

Loves hanging out with her cousins!

A busy day makes for a tired Adalee!

Happy Easter!

This year we had a fairly quiet Easter in Kansas City. It was actually very cold and snowing on Easter morning - hence the sweater Adalee wore to Easter Mass - but luckily the sun came out and we were able to spend a little bit of time outside in the afternoon!

Adalee and her "bath" themed Easter basket. She is
going through a phase right now where she doesn't
like taking baths in the bath tub - only the kitchen sink.
So we tried to get some things that would *hopefully*
make bath time more fun!

And of course I couldn't resist getting her some new shades :)

Easter egg hunt at Nana and Bop Bop's in the afternoon!

Trying to figure out how to hold all the eggs in her hands
and pockets - she wasn't into having to carry around a basket.

Reading books with Daddy! Thank you to Nana and
Bop Bop for the awesome books in her Easter basket!

I couldn't resist...
